Overview

I worked on the encounter design team where I led the design on the tutorial mission plus 3 other main missions in the game. My main role was to make sure the encounters and combat experience was intense and fun to play.

Responsibilities

  • The lead on multiple, multi-part missions as the combat designer, where I was expected to work with campaign and narrative design on building exciting and engaging combat encounters

  • Scripted combat encounters which includes engaging players with fun enemy compositions & creating a good sense of pacing where each level ebbs and flows in difficulty and excitement

  • Created various design tool improvements to help empower other designers to create tense, more fun combat encounters
